Let’s Bring Free Maternal and Child Healthcare to Karachi

Transparent Hands is arranging a free medical camp for needy mothers and children in Karachi. Despite being one of the country’s largest urban centers, Karachi faces numerous healthcare challenges, particularly for its low-income communities. Our upcoming camp aims to address the health needs of mothers and children while contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3). This goal focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all.
Challenges
Karachi’s healthcare system is under immense pressure. Overcrowded public hospitals and long waiting times often leave women and children without the much-needed care. Traveling long distances to reach a hospital adds to the difficulty for many residents, especially those living in low-income areas. As a result, many individuals delay seeking medical help, which can lead to worsening health outcomes over time.
As reported by the World Bank, Sindh faces a pregnancy-related death rate of 345 per 100,000 live births and a maternal mortality rate of 224 per 100,000 live births.

Transparent Hands’ free medical camp in Karachi will deliver specialized maternal and child healthcare services. We will bring our dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including a gynecologist, pediatrician, and nutritionist. Preventive Healthcare Session
As part of our commitment to long-term health improvement, we will conduct a preventive healthcare session focusing on one of the common health concerns in Karachi.
